Burning Bowl

“To know the sweetness of the Infinite within us, that is the cause, the reason, the purpose, the only purpose of our being.” – Nicholas of Cusa (or Cusanus)

Of this thought-provoking statement Wayne Teasdale writes in The Mystic Hours, "Everything that happens here has an infinite significance.   Each one of us has an infinite meaning and is part of the greater whole, the Infinite Reality, the Divine itself.  We are here to know God, or as Cusanus says, 'the sweetness of the Inifinte within us,' and this sweetness must saturate our understanding, our very beings......To realize the Divine Sweetness directly is the reason for our existence...."

Eckhardt Tolle expressd it this way,  “The greatest miracle is experiencing your essential self.”

And Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity wrote, “No longer think of yourself as being sinful; always think of yourself as being a pure, truthful, honest child of God.  God did not create you wicked and sinful; He created you in His ‘image and likeness’ – perfection.”  TBLW/183

Teasdale reminds us that awakening  to this realization of the Infinite requires a spiritual alertness.  Notice what shows up.  It is always, everywhere present, if we are alert to it.

Join us Saturday night for the Burning Bowl service when we will support each other in setting this intention and letting go of the obstacles that would prevent us from our purpose.
